Anyone use GeeXboX?

For anyone who has not used this excellent app YOU SHOULD NOW, you don't even need a harddrive to run Divx, Xvids or even DVD's you can play them on any PC without even booting into Windows. It boots straight off the CD and loads into memory It also looks great and doesn't need much to run and will run on most Intel/AMD box's with a decent graphics card.
Oh and did I mention its only a 4.4MB download. :-)

I see things...

Enough said about this really....

It has happened, CNet own mp3.com

So now they have acquired mp3.com, first question I have to ask is eh??? Not a domain I expected CNet to buy really.
But then again they do own all the cool domains download.com, news.com, com.com, builder.com & now mp3.com.
Dam they'd make some mad money if they sold news.com.
On that note I lost one of my domains a couple of months back because I forgot to renew it, FECK!

Nokia N-Gage Cracked, Nokia are pissed!

You may have read in the news lately that Nokia's new N-Gage mobile gaming device has been cracked, what this means is the games used on the device can now be used on other mobile devices such as the Siemens SX1.
Nokia are far from happy about this are have vowed to pursue the people who did it.
Quoted from a article on cdfreaks.com "The spokesman denied that the development of the crack might be an 'inside job', either within a game developer or even Nokia itself, suggesting instead that the work had been done by an individual "with enough time, skill and intent" to break through the copy protection by brute force."
A user on cdfreaks.com simple suggests "Hell, that could be anybody! :-)"

A Linux Distro for Barbie?

Mattel are planning on launching Barbie OS 1.0 this year for the christmas rush.
Based on Debian Linux its mainly aimed at toddler through preteen girls who are currently Windows users but may be seeking alternatives, possibly due to increasing licensing fees or out of a desire to break free of vendor lock-in.
quoted from the press release "Barbie Wizards guide girls through the process of partitioning their disks, formatting volumes, mounting Samba shares, and installing packages."
Best of all BarbieOS is licensed under the GPL :-P

McDonalds v The Dictionary

Just reading a interexting article on BBC News about how upset McDonalds is about a new entry in the dictionary "McDonald's has expressed its outrage over how the latest Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary describes job prospects at the US fast-food giant." Although the company seems upset about the new entry its certainly a very true term, anyone who has read Fast Food Nation will know what I'm reffering to.

My lovely new Shuttle XPC

Well I thought I might as well put up a picture here of my lovely shiny new pc, when I say new I mean I have it since September.
I don't care its very, very sweet looking. :-)

The Matrix Revolutions...

Well we all waited so long to see this film, I personally liked the first and second one infact I liked the second much more especially the fight scene between Neo and Smith, it was very entertaining.
But last Thursday night @ 8.20 I began watching Revolutions and I can only say the following things about it, Where's the story??? There's a crazy amount of flaws in it and I want 2hr's and 9min of my life back along with the €6.50 I paid to see it!
I'm not the only one who thinks this about this shite film.
Its a shame really and to be very honest when you actually think about it the film was doomed from the beginning as everyone expected just so much and it was bound to fail somewhere.
But for me it failed in to many places for it to keep me interested..

On a side note, Alien v Predator is coming next year its hard to know if it'll be bollox or not, for those who don't know what I'm on about read up on the history books.
